Great North Snowdogs Impact

Scampering across North Tyneside, Northumberland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and South Shields for ten weeks in  Autumn 2016 including our 2 Snow Dogs at Quorum!), Local Charity, St Oswald’s pack of 64 large and 97 little Snowdogs took over, making friends, bringing people together and raising a massive £367,000 for St Oswald’s Children’s Hospice.

On Thursday 4th May 2017, the Great North Snowdogs Team hosted a special Impact Event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Newcastle, to present the results of a survey in partnership with Wild in Art and NGI Solutions. This is an initiative led by Police and Crime Commissioner for Northumbria (PCC).

Our Domestic Violence Champion will act as a point of contact and raise awareness about domestic and sexual abuse. Quorum spread some Easter Joy

Over 300 Easter Eggs were collected on behalf of The Great North Children’s Hospital in the run up to Easter.

Donations flooded in from tenants across the park and were boxed up and delivered on Wednesday 12th April in time to be shared over the hospital’s 14 ward and outpatient clinics in time for Easter.

Jenny Palmer, Matron at the Great North Hospital was over the moon with the collection. ‘We’re thrilled with the donations, its great to see so many people giving just a little something to those in our care, we really appreciate the kind gesture. When I saw how many eggs were collected, I was blown away. We’re absolutely delighted, and look forward to sharing with the children.’  Read more… “Quorum spread some Easter Joy”

To achieve this aim we make sure sustainability and the environment are given a central role.

With the help of some onsite volunteers and a team from Northumberland Wildlife Trust we were able to put together three hotels.

Mini beast hotels (also know as wildlife stacks) are made from durable materials that are put together to create a number of small, secure and sheltered spaces where small creatures can make their home.  Read more… “Quorum Mini Beast Hotel Open for Guests”
