National Pet Day

11 Apr 2018

Its time to pet a pet! 

What a dream lunchtime, pet a puppy, cuddle a cat and brush a bunny! 

Also, find out about re homing opportunities for creatures great and small! 

  • Judge our Cutest Pet Photo competition 
  • Close encounters from Animal Antics - both cute and cuddly as well as more exotic animals! Includes rabbits, chicks, guinea pigs and snakes, spiders and more (kept separately of course) 
  • Pick up a selection of treats for your four legged friends
  • Some pet themed homeware, a great gift for animal lovers everywhere from Arnie Bear  
  • Learn more about the Greyhounds Trust and meet a greyhound. 
  • Support local shelters with Benton Dog Shelter

This event takes place in the Easter Holidays - so please feel free to bring children along there will be some goodies especially for them!

Love to Ride Cycle Challenge

01 May 2018 to 30 Sep 2018

Register with Love to Ride Quorum this spring/summer and start logging your miles cycled to be in with a chance of winning a prize. www.lovetoride.net/quorum  

There will be a monthly prize for May, June, July, August and Sept.

The prizes aren’t necessarily given to the person who cycles the furthest. Increase your chances of winning by:

  • Cycling in your leisure time (as well as to work),
  • Set and achieve goals
  • Post photos of your trips
  • Invite colleagues at Quorum

You can log your miles online or via the Love to Ride app OR you can simply link one of the following accounts to your Love to Ride account in the Settings section and the miles will be automatically added to your profile without you having to log in!

  • Strava
  • Ride Report
  • Map my Ride
  • Endomondo

So what are you waiting for…Register (or log in if already registered), Set yourself a goal, Start logging some miles, Post some photos and Recommend the challenge to your colleagues.

(NOTE If your company is not registered then you will need to register it as a new organisation)

First prize will be a bike lock worth £40 and the winner will be announced at the end of May.

Class One in a Six Week Programme of Yoga Classes provided by British Wheel of Yoga instructor, Jane Crane.

Jane will contact you in advance of the class for a health brief and to see if you need to borrow a yoga mat.

You don't need to come to each session, but you are certainly welcome to 😊
