Bright future for growing firm following office move

A leading managed print services provider has its sights set on recruitment after moving to one of the region’s coolest new office spaces.

Concept Group Ltd, part of Xerox, has taken occupancy at the revamped Neon building on Quorum Park, which offers resident businesses a barbecue area, ping pong and pool tables, as well as a retro arcade game to encourage cross-collaboration.

Concept employs 185 people across its six UK offices. The 18-strong Newcastle office, which moved to the 2,000 sq ft suite on Neon’s ground floor after eight years at Newcastle Business Park, is now planning to increase its headcount by more than 20 per cent in the next year.

Alex McKenna, director of Concept Group Ltd said: “After achieving growth and increasing staff numbers year on year, it was time to move to bigger premises that match our ambitions.

“It was also important to reward the hard work and loyalty of our current team with inspiring, sociable surroundings and great amenities, which encourage creativity and will also help us attract the best people from our industry to join them.

“Since moving onto the park, every day has been like the first day, with team members embracing the wonderful workplace environment that’s underpinned by additional facilities and offerings from The Hub and its friendly staff.”

The Hub, also based at Neon, is the home of Quorum’s management team, where tenants can access estate management support and find information on travel routes, timetables and events and activities taking place around the park, as well as the hire of a sports pitch, giant games, sports equipment and pool bikes.

Brian Rabinowitz, director of Shelborn Asset Management, which acquired Neon along with several other buildings on the park late last year, said: “We pride ourselves not only on the high quality and flexible design of our Grade A office spaces, but on the many amenities and activities that give Quorum such a sense of community.

“Neon in particular provides an environment designed to inspire teams throughout their working day, using a new workplace model with shared meeting rooms, breakout hubs and open spaces that allow businesses of all sizes and types to mix together.”

Avison Young and Cushman & Wakefield are joint agents for Quorum Park which is home to brands such as Home Group, Greggs and Balfour Beatty. The park recently announced a major letting to Verisure which is set to lead to the creation of 1,000 jobs in North Tyneside.

This is a success message.
